Join us at our first Discovering Quakers AGM Day to be held on Sat 25th July 2026 at Peterborough Meeting House and online.
The day is an opportunity for Friends, Discovering Quakers members and anyone interested in Quaker outreach to share their experiences and hear what Discovering Quakers and others are doing to raise awareness of Quakerism. The schedule provides lots of opportunity to share how Friends and Meetings are approaching outreach.
Peterborough has good communication links by road and rail. The Meeting House is a short walk from the railway station. There is a small amount of parking at the Meeting House and public parking close by.
You can also join us online using Zoom.
We are delighted that this year Craig Barnett, the Local Development Worker for Yorkshire, will be joining us. Craig will share how the area has attracted so many new families to its Quaker communities. You may have seen in the YM26 Patterns of Membership report that Yorkshire had the highest number of new attenders in 2025. This is a great opportunity to hear how it has been achieved.
The schedule for the day is;
11:30 - Arrival and refreshments
12:00 - Welcome and opening worship
12:10 - Presentation by Craig Barnett, Local Development Worker for Yorkshire
12:45 - Lunch (bring your own picnic - we're hoping for good weather)
13:45 - Discovering Quakers AGM
14:15 - Break
14:30 - Plans for the coming year, plus Q&A
15:45 - Closing worship
16:00 - Close
