Our printable guide for newcomers and enquirers

Feel free to use our printable introductory pack for enquirers, which explains what happens in a Meeting for Worship and where they can find out more about Quakerism. This printable version is designed to be printed on double-sided A4 or A5 paper, and then folded. It features QR codes which makes it easier for the enquirer to find out further information.

Printable poster for Open Days

If you're holding an Open Day at your Meeting House you may be interested in using our Open Day poster. There is space to fill in the address of your Meeting House, timings and any activities available at your Open Day.

You can see an example of a filled in poster here.

Please email us at meetings@discoveringquakers.org.uk  if you are interested in being sent printed posters.

'Why are young adults feeling drawn to Quakers?' - Brochure

We've also created a resource specifically aimed at young adults, which looks at some of the reasons Quaker Meetings are appealing to young people today. We hope it will be a helpful leaflet to have to hand at upcoming outreach events like LGBTQIA+ Pride and Freshers Fairs.

Please email us at info@discoveringquakers.org.uk to request a printable copy as well as tips for getting it printed.

Weekly online sessions for newcomers

On Tuesday evenings we host Quaker Lives on Zoom, where a guest speaker talks about how their Quakerism has influenced their life. Each session includes a Q&A session and short Meeting for Worship to give newcomers a taste of what Quaker silence is like. Here is a link to further information about these events.

Content for social media

If you're seeking content for your Local Meeting social media pages, you are very welcome to share or repost content from our own social media accounts.

Discovering Quakers is on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

Guidance on what to write to new enquirers

We’ve written a template answer which you can copy and edit to provide details about your own Local Meeting. We recommend that you keep a copy to hand for any time an enquirer gets in touch. You can access the template by clicking this link.
